Meet the A string — and surprise: nothing here is new. The A at fret 5 and the B at fret 7? They live down here too, right by the nut.
Strings are tuned five frets apart, so high notes on one string have a twin on the next. That's the whole reason scale shapes exist: the notes climb, your hand stays put.
